very effort has been made to ensure that each Heritage Box is as individual and special as the wood itself.
The fact that each one takes some 110 hours to complete reflects the delicacy with which it has been crafted, with the minimum constraint and the maximum attention to detail.
This is no artificially created ‘limited edition’. A vast amount of care has been taken to layer the veneers so the grain runs fully around the Box. The actual number of Boxes produced is dependent entirely on whether the beauty of the grain can be totally revealed without being compromised.
Rather than merely gluing the wood, traditional cabinet-making techniques have been employed to make certain the Box is constructed as robustly and seamlessly as possible. For example, carefully hidden loose tenon joints secure the corners discreetly, while precisely fashioned sliding dovetails attach the front of the drawers to the sides.
