quite extraordinary level of attention to detail characterises the Westwood Heritage Box.
The inspiration for the double hinged, two lidded design, came from another classic and internationally famous source, the sleek, distinctive shape of David West’s favourite sports tourer: the Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing Coupe. Just as the two doors on this classic automobile open gracefully up to the sky, so do the lids on the Heritage Box.

And as in the design of the Mercedes, in which the elegant doors become a feature in their own right, David has ensured that each silver-framed lid has been fashioned to show off the stunningly beautiful Brazilian Rosewood to the best advantage and in the best possible light.
Each component part of the Westwood box has been carefully and skilfully thought through. Everything has been ingeniously devised to be both original and beautiful.
Take, for example, an item as small as the hinges. They have been exclusively and painstakingly designed to allow the lids to remain open without the addition of unsightly supports. Even the drawer front has been designed to be uniquely complex. Instead of sitting within the standard rectangular ‘slot’, the front of the Heritage Box drawer extends right across the body of the piece, leaving nothing other than a clean horizontal line.
The detail on the lock is no exception either. Each lock is individually crafted from solid silver with its own inscribed key.
